Welcome to Dr. Mihm's Dermatopathology Website
Dr. Martin C. Mihm, Jr. is an international consultant for pigmented lesions, lymphoma, and cutaneous inflammatory diseases. He is the co-director of the Pigmented Lesion Clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He is also co-chairman of the Melanoma Pathology Program of the World Health Organization and co-director of the new Rare Tumor Institute founded this year by the World Health Organization.
Dr. Mihm's expertise covers problematic pigmented lesions, problematic lesions of lymphoma, and problems relating to inflammatory diseases of the skin. He has co-authored numerous articles and several books concerning skin pathology.
Shaofeng Yan, MD, Associate Editor of Dr. Mihm's Dermatopathology Webiste, is an Assistant Professor in Pathology at the Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire. She received her M.D. from Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China and Ph.D. degree from University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Yan's post-graduate training included basic research training in the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute, Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency in the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and Combined Harvard Dermatopathology Fellowship in Boston. Her major clinical and scientific interests are related to pathogenesis of inflammatory skin diseases and melanocytic lesions.
